Burrrrr...it looks really cold.

Cousin Lynn sent these pictures from his home in Price. It brings back alot of memories. I loved the snow growing up as a kid but am really glad I don't live it anymore. I do remember going sledding with friends and family up airport road. We would always go to the gas station and get the big tires to use. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. I also remember dad hooking up a sled to his horse Jimmy and taking us for a ride. I still have my old sled that I used to sled down the road from Uncle Dee's house. Then we always had hot chocolate, yummy!! I love to visit the snow for sking, playing and it is beautiful after a big snow storm. Dad has had to shovel alot of snow this winter so I am sure he is looking forward to spring so he can get outside. Hope you all stay warm...

Tristen's spiral perm explosion...

Fourth week of beauty school. Tristen came home from school with a curly do. She said that Mondays are boring, and it was her turn to be the dummy!! Some one did a good job now didn't they? It was all curls at first then she pulled her fingers through all of it and made it more fuffy.

Together again...

President Hinkley has left us and he will be dearly missed. He had great wisdom, he was a wonderful example and he had a lovable sense on humor. I am sure the reunion with his dear sweet Marjorie was a great one. I hope we all take the time to ponder all he did for us, all he taught us and all that he stood for. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Avery can't find her cookie...

This is a precious video from Grandpa Dan of sweet little Avery. She is looking for her Oreo cookie and can't seem to find it. Can you see it?

She would have been 72 today...

Well, today is moms birthday. She always loved a party, loved people and just loved to visit. Mom loved life and always had a smile on her face (unless you made her mad and then she was not smiling and her eyes would get big and you knew you had crossed the line). Mom always had plenty of food just in case friends came over, she was everybody's mom. She was easy to talk to and always had great advice, even if you didn't realize it was great until you learned the hard way. We all have had so much happen in our lives and with our children and we all automatically want to pick up the phone to call and tell her. She was always excited to hear what her grandkids were up to. Even though she already knows and she is with us, knowing what we are going through. Well mom, I hope you are having a big party up there. Give eveyone hugs and kisses for us, and have grandpa bite your ears. Thanks for all you gave us, taught us and know you are always in our hearts and you are missed!!! We love you.

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

We would like to give a big shout out to Aunt June, it is her birthday today. Hope you have a great day! Also we would all like to Thank you so much for all you do to help dad.

Way to go Janae!!!

Janae recently completed a science project about diabetes. For her project, she recorded her blood sugar scores for 1 month without giving insulin before her meals; then she recorded her blood sugar scores for 1 month with giving herself insulin 10 to 15 minutes before each meal. The hypothesis was correct - she figured that her scores overall would be better during the month that the insulin was in her system before eating her meals. She received a very good grade on the project and this week her teacher informed her that she would be competing on the district level with her project. Yahoo!!!! Great news Janae. Keep up the good work.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robbin just received a letter from the city stating she passed her written exam for the Administrative Clerk job. She took the test in December. Although she passed, her application was not referred to a department at this time, but her name was placed on an eligibility list for consideration in filling future vacancies. The list is good for twelve months. Wow...she is so excited since she has not taken a test since high school. She doesn't even care if she gets hired now as it is just good to know she passed the test. Just kidding, she would take the job. Robbin also read in the paper that the city is having a hiring freeze so that is probably another reason she was just placed on a list until they can hire again. Hopefully that will be soon.

Now Robbin is waiting to hear if she passed the written exam she took last friday for the Sheriff Service Tech job. That would be nice to get that job. Keep your fingers crossed and thanks to all of you for your support.

JT is 50 today!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

JT has recently hit a huge milestone--- he turns 50 today, January 18th. So we are on the lookout for any signs of a mid-life crisis coming on. He is a pretty good sport about us harassing him about it, although I (Cindy) try not to say too much since I am already 50 and he was very kind to me when I hit that milestone. JT was recently called to be the Gospel Doctrine teacher in our ward, so he is polishing up on his Book of Mormon knowledge!!! He teaches for the first time on January 20th - GOOD LUCK WITH THAT - he will be great!!!

Eligible bachelor and he knows how to bowl...

Janson has recently dropped out of the dating circuit, due to lack of funds (or so he says). He is still working at Sears down at the mall. He is also taking several classes at UVSC. Two of the classes he is taking with his cousin RJ; biology and the all important BOWLING!!!!. Gotta know how to bowl!!!! He is living at the Riviera and seems to have a lot of fun being social. He comes home every Sunday for dinner and brings with him some of his roommates. It is really fun to have him come home once in a while. He has recently expressed a desire to become a Pharmacist- so we will see if he sticks with that goal.

MarLyn is one busy girl...

MarLyn recently traveled to Fillmore to attend the Millard High Winter Formal with her good friend Sam. She had a great time and she looks pretty awesome in her formal. (Actually it is Kayla's formal). She is kept really busy this year as a 4-H State Ambassador. She (along with 7 other girls) are in charge of planning and carrying out several state-wide 4-H activities throughout the year. She has learned so much and gotten to know so many awesome people throughout the state. She will receive a 4 year 1/2 tuition scholarship at Utah State for all of her hard work as ambassador.

Congrats to Kayla on the new job!!!

Kayla is sooo excited! She got a dental assisting job and starts February 4th. She won't have to work at the mall ever again! She is also going to buy a new car in April - best day ever!!! Kayla is looking at Mazda 3's - a black one to be specific. They are soo beautiful! Kayla recently moved back home to save some money, and her family is so glad that she is back home, cause she is the best! haha

Jenna is coming home for a visit...YEAH!!!!!

Jenna is coming home to visit for a week. She is coming February 2nd through the 9th. I can't wait to see her. It has been over a year since we have seen her and we finally get to see her preggo belly. We are sad though because Jeremy cannot come with her so we have yet to meet him. Although he sounds like a great guy! We have planned to have a 3D~4D ultra sound done and we all get to go watch. We will hopefully find out what it is for sure. This g~ma thing is kinda fun. I think the little one is going to be really spoiled, in fact I am sure of it. It will be the first grand child on both sides. Can't wait for February to see my baby.

She did it herself!!!

Yes...Robbin did it herself. She did a better job than the last plumber. The faucet the plumber put in kept having problems, the plumber came back out and thought he fixed it. He did not! Anyway Robbin took it in her own hands and put a new one in. Thanks dad for teaching me how to do so much with fixing things around the house, you were a good teacher.

I will never forget right after Pete and I were married and he said we had to take the car in for an oil change. I couldn't believe there was a place you could take the car to have that done. I always thought you just did that yourself. I remember the homemade place we had on the way to the corral where dad and uncle Babe used to work on cars. We also had many games of tag on that contraption but we had alot of fun. I wish I had a picture of it. Anyway thanks dad for teaching us so much and teaching us how to work hard. Love you!!

SIBLINGS...

I would like to send a big THANK YOU to my siblings for all the updates they have given me to add to the Fausett Family Blog. I love you guys more that cotton candy and that is saying alot. Keep up the good work. (I know, I need to get a life). I really do love you guys.

Wow, look what happens when 2 people fall in love!!

This all began when Shirley (mom) went to buy some milk at the Fausett's. Mom was friends with aunt Marie, she went out to buy milk from Marie's family. Bud (dad) saw mom out the window and thought she was really hot, he ran through the house so he could see her out of each window as she walked back to her car. Dad was so busy watching mom that while he was running he did not see the ottoman and tripped right over it and landed on his face. Anyway, they fell in love and had the ride of their lives. I know dad misses mom alot and has counted the months since she's been gone. What a great legacy they have left for all of us. I know she is still with us and watches over us. She sees our triumphs and tragedies. Love you mom and dad, thanks for all you are, all that you have done and all that you have left us in our hearts and minds. We love you both!!! This picture is missing Avery, Damien, Jeremy and baby Chastain.

NEW PUPPY

2008 brought Jen and Jeremy a new puppy. His name is Zver, which is beast in Russian. He does not look like a puppy. Zver is part lab and part newfoundland. It has been fun for them cleaning up poop, and he was sick today so Jen had to clean up vomit. Yea, fun for a pregnant woman. Zver keeps Jen company while Jeremy is at work. He does have a cute little face. Did I say little?? I mean cute face. Well have fun you two and Zver welcome to the family.
The picture with the leash was when he was a real little puppy, my how he has grown.
