This is what the...

...Farrer's have been up to the last 5 to 6 weeks.
They have been promoting YES on Prop 8
Here are their thoughts:
They don't want young grade schoolers learning in school that a princess can marry a princess or a prince can marry a prince. Let the children choose how they want to live when they get older and can form their own opinions, not taught in schools where it contradicts what they are taught at home. We are not judging gays or lesbians we just don't want to lose a say in what our children learn in school. If this does not pass with a YES it will be a law to teach this in school.
Also Rob being a bishop would be put in a situation where he can be sued for a hate crime for not marrying a gay or lesbian couple because that is something he does not believe in. Where are his rights to say no?
So they have been very busy getting involved in the coming election one week from tomorrow. Dont forget to get out and vote!!

Catching up with the Goodrich's...

Cindy was called to be Young Woman's President in June, she is very busy with that and
4-H. Every Sunday she has dinner at her house for her family, nieces and nephews and friends, then they all play cards or games and have a great time. She is the kool-aid mom!!!
MarLyn just went to the homecoming dance with her friend Austin, by the way Austin's dad played basketball for BYU and his uncle is Scott Pollard and he plays professional basketball, he used to play for Kings and I think he plays for Celtics now. Okay, back on track here...MarLynn in on the Seminary Council for this whole school year. She helps plan activies and does missionary work. She was also State Ambassador for 4-H last year and earned a scholarship that will cover half her tuition for her 4 years at Utah State in Logan. She is working really hard to get a scholarship for the rest of it. She loves working with the youth and will probably major in Youth Developement and minor in Photography. She also wants to be an EFY counselor.

Janae just got her DRIVERS PERMIT... she has to put in 40 hours of driving with also includes freeway driving and night time driving before she turns 16 in August. She is planning to take drivers training at UVU so she can get it done in 2 weeks instead of a whole semester. Janae will also be receiving her Young Woman's recognition this Sunday. Congratulations!!!!
Here are a couple of pictures from the Juvenile Diabetes Walk.

Diabetes Handprint...

The Bonnie Hunt Show was on today, some of her guests were young girls with juvenile diabetes. I was kinda listening while getting some chores done and I happened to hear about this web site: (Click on here) Diabetes Handprint.
We invite you to join our growing community at by writing the one word on your hand that best expresses what diabetes has meant in your life, taking a picture and sending it to us. Or design your own hand on the site. For every hand submitted to The Global Diabetes Handprint, a $5 donation will be made to one of two non-profit organizations - Diabetes Education and Camping Association or Taking Control of Your Diabetes. The choice is yours.
Here are some examples of our hands:

This will not cost anything but a little of your time.
We would love to find a cure one day.
This is for you Janae!!!
Thanks to all of you for your love and support.

Dinner with Friends and Family...

Alissa and two of her friends, Elina and Roman drove out to San Francisco to visit with Heather and James and do some sight seeing. Wendi and I drove down to Emeryville to the Bay Street Shopping Center and met them for dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. (Our usual spot to meet about half way, Robbin doesn't like driving into the city) Here is a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge and the sunset. Sorry about the fence we were driving on the freeway but it was so beautiful I couldn't resist taking the pic.

Heather, James, Alissa, Robbin, Wendi, Elina and Roman enjoying dinner.
After dinner I made them pose for a few pictures.
Heather and Alissa, I love the way you have your leg, you both look like super models.
Elina, Roman and Alissa.
Elina and Roman are from the Ukraine and they work with Alissa.
It was fun visiting with all of them.
James and Heather
